I am proud and excited to announce the impending launch of an exclusive range of greeting cards produced specifically for Wild Futures in support of their flag-ship project the Monkey Sanctuary in Looe, Cornwall.

The cards, which each feature a selection of 20 of  my photographs will be ready for sale in the Monkey Sanctuary shop within the next week.  For those who cant make it to the shop I am sure we can arrange to post cards purchases out to you.

As an ambassador one of my fund-raising projects has been the creation of this range of cards.

Anyone wishing to become an ambassador and help fund-raising for this great cause can visit the website at http://www.wildfutures.org/ambassadors/ to see how you can help. That is, aside from buying these cards of course!

The images on the greeting cards are a mix of photographs I have taken of  wild primates taken in their native habit and some home-grown wildlife as well, four examples are below, the full range of images can be seen in the slide show below.

A bit about Wild Futures……

Wild Futures is committed to protecting primates and their habitats worldwide. The charitys largest project is The Monkey Sanctuary in Cornwall, a rescue and rehabilitation centre for monkeys from the UK primate pet trade. Sadly, many of the monkeys that are rescued suffer from severe physical and mental issues such as diabetes and self-harming, following their time kept as pets.

Although a monkey is a wild animal and can pose serious threats to human safety and health, it is still legal to have a monkey as a pet in the UK.  It is estimated that there are at least 5,000 privately owned primates in the UK and there are signs that the primate pet trade is on the increase.

My thanks go to the team at Cornwall based MonkeyPuzzle Art printing (apt name) for the great work in producing these cards and for coming up trumps at short notice. The stock for the cards and the envelopes are 100% recycled.
